Flashback Friday – Wonder Women

Hey all!

Sometimes, the wait lists for new items at your library, or even just the wait for new books from your favorite authors, can seem interminable. Some of my tricks for those waiting periods include:

  • rereading Anne of Green Gables or The Witch of Blackbird Pond
  • choosing a genre in one of my library ebook apps and going to the VERY END of the results list and working backwards, as the books at the end were less likely to be checked out already
  • searching for a popular authors earlier works (this works for print AND e-books)
  • hitting up my reader friends for their older favorites
  • Looking up “best of” lists from at least 5 years ago

On this #FlashbackFriday I decided to apply point 3 above and take a look back through some of my old favorites and share a dozen with you. I would recommend looking for some of the fiction books listed below, which are a little older and therefore might not be in such high demand. It also means you can sometimes find them at used book sales or thrift stores, or even in #littlefreelibraries. These are in no particular order, they all feature interesting women, and I read them in 2016 or earlier.  I hope that you find someone among these characters that you love.
