2021 Previews

Hey all!

There are dozens of lists I could keep posting naming the best of 2020 as chosen by any number of media outlets…and I still might share some more with you.  But today, I want to look ahead at 2021 and some of the publications I’m most looking forward to.

Several of my favorites have new books coming this year.  I’m already on the library waiting list for The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah, who wrote The Nightingale and The Great Alone, among other titles.  This one is set in Texas during the Great Depression so I expect to dry just as many tears as with her past novels. Expected in January.

Kate Quinn, who hooked me with the marvelous book The Alice Network, brings us The Rose Code, a story of women who work as code breakers during WWII.  Expected in March.

Taylor Jenkins Reid, who blessed us with the terrific Daisy Jones and the Six, among others, comes at us in early summer with Malibu Rising.  Famous people, in the 80’s, at an epic party, as written by this entertaining storyteller?  Yes, please.  Expected in June.

And you know I can’t forget my girl, Elin.  According to things we’ve heard on her social media, we have a limited number of stories yet to come from our Queen of Nantucket, so I’m both happy and sad that Golden Girl will hit shelves in June.  It’s on my birthday wish list.

There are tons more coming, and I’ll hit on some more in a future post, but for now, mark your calendars and delight in the anticipation of more excellent reading this year.
