Flashback Friday – (Not?) Intended for Adults

Hey all!

I decided to take another look back through some of my old favorites and share them with you.  Sometimes, the wait lists for new items at your library, or even just the wait for new books from your favorite authors, can seem interminable.

As I’ve said before, some of my tricks for those waiting periods include:

  • rereading Anne of Green Gables or The Witch of Blackbird Pond
  • choosing a genre in one of my library ebook apps and going to the VERY END of the results list and working backwards, as the books at the end were less likely to be checked out already
  • searching for a popular authors earlier works
  • hitting up my reader friends for their older favorites
  • Looking up “best of” lists from at least 5 years ago

Whatever you do, I would recommend looking for some of these, which are a little older and therefore might not be in such high demand.

These are in no particular order.  They were all published with a young adult audience in mind, but as a not-so-young adult, I loved them. I read them in 2016 or earlier.  I hope that you find someone among these characters that you love.
