Hey all!
As we make our way into the weekend, I want to share with you the super easy combos I had forgotten about until recently. Near our first home, my husband and I had a neighborhood store that stocked Cruzan rum, which I didn’t know about until we stepped in there and saw all the bottles behind the counter, looking all pretty in their pastel hued labels. If you don’t know, Cruzan makes rum in about eleventy million flavors. It is distilled on St Croix and in my opinion, any rum from the Caribbean is just about perfect.
Anyway, we found Cruzan to be the perfect rum to stock our home bar because it’s really reasonably priced, and because my husband likes his drinks super sweet. The fruit flavors of the rum made his blended and mixed drinks that much more enjoyable.
Here are three of my favorite ways to use Cruzan rums…enjoy responsibly!
- Mix a double shot of Black Cherry Rum with Coke or Diet Coke, garnish with a twist of lime.
- Mix Coconut Rum with pineapple juice and ice, shake and top with a colorful paper umbrella for an extra beachy feel. You could also use less Coconut Rum, and add some of the Mango version to this one. Or just add Mango Rum without reducing the Coconut. I’m not here to judge.
- Mix Vanilla Rum with Coke, over ice. I haven’t tried it with a garnish, but I bet one of those moonshine cherries you’ve heard us talk about would be perfect in there!
There. Three easy rum drinks to enjoy this weekend, with little to no measuring, muss or fuss.
